The following article takes a closer look at both platforms, comparing a number of important criteria and scoring each from 1 to 5.

Range of Markets/Available Sports Compared: Winner bet365
When deciphering between Unibet or bet365 the range of markets and available sports is a crucial criteria. Both bookmakers provide users with a massive selection of sports and leagues to choose from including Australian favourites such as Rugby, Cricket, Aussie Rules, Horse Racing and Football. Bet365 wins in a range of markets through a bigger selection of prop bets and a few more niche sports available for betting.
The following is a list of sports currently available at each operator:
Unibet: Betting Markets
American Football, Athletics, Aussie Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Esports, Golf, Ice Hockey, Motor Sports, Netball, Novelties, Politics, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Soccer, Surfing, Table Tennis, Tennis, UFC/MMA, WWE, Water Polo
bet365: Betting Markets

Betting Markets Comparison
Aussie Rules- AFL- Hawthorn vs Collingwood – Friday 05 Jul 2019
Unibet: Provides ‘Line’ & ‘Win’ bets.
Bet365: Provides ‘Line,’ ‘Win,’ ‘Total,’ & ‘Margin’ bets.
For the AFL match between Hawthorn and Collingwood, bet365 provides Total and Margin bets on top of the Live and Win bets.
Odds Compared- Winner bet365
While both operators provide top odds which fall in line with all major sportsbooks in the region, bet365 just edges out the competition. If for example, we took the AFL match between Hawthorn and Collingwood on the 5th of July 2019, the odds to win would be:
Unibet: Hawthorne 3.15 & Collingwood 1.36
Bet365: Hawthorne 3.20 & Collingwood 1.36
So if you were to bet $1000 at Unibet, you would receive 3.15 * 1000= $3150. Whereas if you bet $1000 at bet365, you would get 3.20 * 1000 = $3200 in return.
It should be noted that the odds for both sites vary from sport to sport and match to match, thus in some cases, Unibet may have the greater odds. In general, however, bet365 provides slightly higher odds which can add up over time.
Mobile App Compared: Winner bet365
The bet365 Mobile App is available on both Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded at the iTunes stores and bookmaker’s site(Android). The app gives the same functionality as the desktop client, with live betting, live sports updates and cash-out features available for most sporting events. Live streaming is also available on the app, however, it requires a funded account and is not available in every country. Notifications can be set on the app for alerts when your favourite team is playing or one of your wagers completes.
The Unibet App is also available on both iOS and Android mobile devices and provides a similar set of features as the other top apps. Unibet TV streaming provides funded accounts with a live streaming service and the live event coverage provides a number of useful statistics and visualisations for betting.
Where the bet365 App trumps the Unibet App is with its interface. The app is extremely easy to use and gives users the opportunity to search between wagers within seconds. The ability to cash out via the app is also very useful for mitigating losses and protecting your wins while on the go.
Streaming/Live Options Compared: Winner bet365
Bet365 provides users with a number of live options including live betting, live updates and visualisations as well as live streaming for funded accounts in select countries.
Live streaming on the app provides over 140,000 sporting events a year, which can be watched from both the desktop client and the mobile app.
Unibet Australia also gives users the chance to live stream select sporting events on Unibet TV and follow matches using live event coverage and visualisations.
Where bet365 separates itself from Unibet in terms of live options is the number of sporting events covered. The operator gives users access to over 140,000 sporting events each year and provides live virtual simulations for a majority of their live betting options.
Due to the Interactive Gambling Act in Australia, any form of live betting cannot be conducted online.
Under Australian law, we are required to inform you that Live Streaming on bet365 is exempt from Parts 3 and 4 of the Broadcasting Services (Online Content Service Provider Rules) 2018.
Our verdict: Unibet or bet365, which one is the best?
The answer to the question Unibet or bet365 is a close one but in the end, the latter just wins out. With larger betting markets, slightly better odds, superior mobile app interface and comprehensive coverage via live streaming, in my opinion, bet365 is the better sportsbook. This doesn’t mean that Unibet is far behind, however. Unibet offers a similar set of features and only falls short in variety. Check the complete review on Unibet right here!
